Throw a Dino Birthday Party twith almost with zero effort using a party in a box! Thanks to local event planning company and their party package delivered to my door this modern dinosaur themed party came together so easily!
Party in a box
Using a dinosaur themed birthday party in a box from Enjoy your Party in Sedro Woolley, WA I was recently able to throw an amazing dino party with very little notice.
A ‘Roar I’m 4!’ Dinosaur Birthday Party for my son Nash’s 4th birthday to be speicific.
I do love everything about parties – the planning, shopping, decorating, cooking, and the entertaining. Over the years I’ve thrown a Boho Chic Camping Party and a Tumblr Inspired Pool Party for Chayce and a Karate Birthday Party for Fletcher. Plus there was a whole slew of fairy, octonaut, mickey mouse, dirt bike and spa inspired parties before those.
But this year I wasn’t planning on throwing Nash a party.
But all of a sudden a week before the big day he started talking to me about his upcoming “dino birthday”.
Cue the mom guilt.
I was completely under the impression that he wouldn’t care here nor there about a party and then with only T-7 days it became apparent that I was wrong.
So wrong.
So I called in the reinforcements and ordered the Dinosaur Birthday Party crate from Enjoy the Party.
The owner of Enjoy the Party, Jen, is amazing!
She has such a great eye for everything from clothing and photography to home décor and event planning and she personally curates all of the party packages. They offer a wide range of packages and also take requests for any party your guest of honor can dream up!
The day after I contacted Enjoy the Party boxes full of everything I needed to throw a Modern Dino Birthday Party arrived at my door.
Decorations
The dinosaur party decorations are tasteful and minimal. With party decor that appealed to adults and kids.
Shades of blue and green with pops of orange and lots of white keep the whole look very modern.
There was even GIANT dinosaur toys for decoration that the kids just loved! And the best part is that if you or your child falls in love with one of the pieces from the party in the box they offer certain items for sale!
Games
Set up an ‘adopt a dinosaur’ station. Dinosaur eggs are so much fun to smash at the party. Or include hand lettered gift tags to use as party favors instead.
Food and drink ideas
Food and drink for a dinosaur birthday party is so fun to plan with a theme!
- To drink serve ‘swamp water’ with dino egg ice
- Carnivore food like diy taco bar with two fillings; pulled pork and shredded beef.
- Herbivore food like crudité platter with whipped feta herb dip served in a dino serving dish. Also homemade kale chips and a fruit platter.
- Omnivore cheese plate piled high with cheese, spreads and cured meats.
- For a dino party birthday cake try a triple chocolate fudge cake with fluffy whipped frosting topped with dino shaped sugar cookies (cookie cutter included in party package of course).
Getting a helping hand with party planning is something that I would have never imagined doing, but it ended up being the best decision because Nash had an actual birthday party and I didn’t have to add anything to my already long to-do list.
It was such a nice change to be able to relax and enjoy the party rather than be exhausted from planning, shopping and putting together the entire thing. Being a parent is exhausting enough, I’m all for accepting help when I can.
