Something about summer coming to an end and impending school year has me always reaching for quintessential summer treats in an attempt to slow the changing s seasons down a bit and enjoy a few more pleasures of summer while I still can.
In years past we’ve celebrated with root beer float movie nights and Back to School Floats and Friends Parties. But this year I hardly had time to buy new shoes for all the kids in time! How to Make Boozy Tropical Gelato Floats
It’s as easy as scooping gelato and topping with champagne! Take it up a notch with homemade gelatos made from various fresh fruit.
For a striped multi-flavor float make one batch of gelato base then divide and mix in fresh fruit puree before churning. It’s a great make ahead dessert to wow your guests! Or to treat yourself while binging on your favorite show at midnight on the couch 😉
- 1 cup blueberry gelato
- 1 cup mango gelato
- ½ bottle champagne
- In a short glass layer scoops of each flavor of gelato.
- Top with champagne.
- Serve immediately.
